Have you ever seen "Junkyard Wars" on TLC or PBS? Well you can come and build your competition device too! Come to the party!

Assignment
Shhhh! It's a secret! I will tell you that both teams will get a scrap bicycle to start with. Assignment will be given on Friday night. No welders or knowledge of internal combustion engines is required.

What's Going On?
Columbia City, Indiana (near Fort Wayne) has Trash Amnesty Day every year on the first Saturday in May (May 3rd, this year). On Friday, May 2nd, we will me at 'Bitchen' Ric's house and divide into two teams.

Once the teams are assigned, the assignment and scoring criteria will be given. The teams will scour the city's trash piles for the materials needed. After that, contestants can go home, party at my house, sleep on my floor, whatever.

On Saturday, May 3rd, we will reconvene, assign any newcomers to the two teams and start building! At Noon, we will compete. Things should be done by 2:00 p.m.

What if I'm not mechanical?
That's okay! We have openings for people to run the video camera, cheer, kibitz, drink or watch movies. If you come Friday night, you are welcome to dig through the junk for end-tables, scrap wood, bicycles, etc.

What if I can't make it both days?
That's okay! You can have fun if you come on only one day. On Friday you can have fun digging in junk or drinking and watching movies. On Saturday you can witness the competition. It's a PARTY folks!

How do I get there?
If you are interested send email to jwparty@bitchen.com or call me if you know my phone number.

What should I bring?
Bring Tools. Bring Booze. Bring DVD's. Bring Cameras. Bring a sleeping bag if you want to sleep over (local hotels available).

Do not bring hardware or welders.

I will have tools for community use.
You may NOT use tools borrowed from the other team.

What if we can't find enough junk?
I will supply some critical pieces if they cannot be located. I may also, based on what's up, allow competitors to purchase a limited number of tools or hardware items from a hardware store.

What about the weather?
We will do this rain or shine. If we have to do it on my kitchen floor, it will happen.
Dress appropriately.

Can you sum up?
